NICK PASSMORE
Nick is a ceramic artist living and working in London.
She is influenced by public art from the likes of William Mitchell, the minimalism of brutalist architecture, the organic geometry of mid century art and design and the graphic patterning of the Bauhaus movement.
Nicks stoneware panels constructed largely from interconnecting tiles play with bas relief and the texture contrasts of clays and glazes .
The pieces strike a fine balance between art, design and craft , testament perhaps to her years working as a designer in the fashion industry.
The interplay of pattern, shape, colour and texture are the focus of Nicks work.
